American woman taken into custody in Islamabad


RAWALPINDI: An American lady was arrested by the police in Commercial Market, Satellite Town on Thursday. 

As per her visa, 31-year-old Elizabeth Marie Lancaster who is an occupant of West Virgina had come to Pakistan year and a half back after she wedded a Pakistani man, Adnan Khan. 

As per beginning examinations, Elizabeth remained with her better half for year and a half before they separated. She should leave for America on Oct 24 yet declined to take off. 

Ms Lancaster was given a different passage visitor visa for Pakistan for 180 days on May 13 a year ago in Peshawar and her visa was substantial till Nov 12, 2016. Her visa was later stretched out on Nov 14, 2016 from Islamabad and was legitimate to May 1, 2017. She was given an augmentation on Oct 19 for 15 days. 

As indicated by the police, Ms Lancaster was remaining at a neighborhood inn close to the cricket stadium and that the lodging may have requested that her leave as she didn't have cash. 

Ms Lancaster was taken to the New Town police headquarters and was moved to the ladies police headquarters after the police reached the US international safe haven and the Federal Investigation Agency. She will be created under the steady gaze of the court of an officer on Friday as she has been declining to backpedal home.
